About Serox
Oxford-based pioneers in medical diagnosis

Serox Limited is building a test that reads the molecular fingerprint of a sample with light, designed to help clinicians find cancer earlier.
Meet the scientists, engineers and clinicians behind it, or see how the test is designed to work.

Our story
Oxford-based pioneers in medical diagnostics, developing minimally invasive technology to help find cancer earlier
Serox Limited is an Oxford-based company at the cutting edge of medical diagnostics. We are developing a low-cost test that reads a drop of serum in about 90 seconds, to help find cancer at the first appointment rather than at the end of a long referral pathway.
The test uses Raman spectroscopy to read the molecular fingerprint of the whole sample at once, and machine learning to turn that fingerprint into a cancer risk score. We work with Oxford University Hospitals, the University of Oxford and the National Physical Laboratory, and build our models on more than 2,600 human samples in our own certified biobank.
Our disease-agnostic approach is designed to extend to other cancers, with multi-test cartridges and further diagnostic models in future. At Serox, we are committed to transforming global healthcare with innovative solutions for clinicians, patients and payors, benefitting healthcare systems worldwide.
